GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS is determined to contribute more to the team as he looks forward to Celtic’s trip to Tayside on Monday.

Celtic will be looking to see out Dundee United before making a trip to Hampden on the Easter Weekend.

The last time the Greek striker faced a team from Dundee, he scored all of Celtic’s goals in the 3-2 win. The perfect hat trick secured the three points, maintaining Celtic’s lead.

Although, on Monday night, he faces a different opposition. Dundee United lie in Celtic’s way, speaking to Celtic TV previewing the challenge that awaits his side, Giakoumakis said;

“As I said before, many times, my job is to score some goals and help my team to win some games. No matter what game it is, no matter what championship is this. If it’s a cup game or a league game, I want to score every single time, that’s my target.

“Also, for the cup game against Dundee United, I hope I can score some goals and help m team to get onto the next round.”

The striker has missed a few games due to illness, but he made the bench for the side’s trip to the Tony Macaroni. GG came on as the game drew close when Celtic had wrapped up all three points.

The striker has been a big player for Celtic so far this season, scoring some big goals. Let’s hope he can produce more moments as Celtic look to regain their title.
