Celtic and Steven Fletcher will not be teaming up this season and this ends one of the more anxiety enduring transfer sagas this window.
There was a moment in time when a deal for the player looked very much on. Tam McManus, a friend of Steven’s was letting his social media followers know it was basically a done deal.
After talks, it became clear Celtic were never too serious about bringing the player in Albian Ajeti was the club’s number one striking target and he was signed on Thursday.
It’s no coincidence Fletcher has popped up at Stoke today.

Fletcher could have played a bit part in Celtic’s season had he signed but the majority of the Celtic support will view it as no big deal the player didn’t end up in the Hoops.
Celtic need to press ahead with defensive transfers now. A centre back and left back will be needed.
One good bit of news at the end a shocking week.
Thank God this Deal didn’t materialise….
One player who had his chance back in the day to join Us but went Down South.Stay Down South
Would’ve been a decent signing going back to Hibs
