Celtic ran out 4-0 winners against Raith Rovers on Sunday afternoon.

Ange allowed some of the fringe players to begin the game and Liam Scales took his opportunity by scoring a wonderful strike to send Celtic on their way to victory.

Raith stayed in the game for a while after, keeping the score line at 1-0 with Celtic looking very lethargic and sloppy.

Giakoumakis would settle the tie once and for all with his last touch of the game. Jota was brought on for Mikey Johnston and went clean through on the wing slipping Giakoumakis for a tap in just as Maeda was about to replace him.

It would take Maeda minutes to get on the scoresheet and make it 3 putting the game well beyond the lower league side.

Celtic would get a penalty late on to make it 4. Bitton pulled rank and stepped up to take it. Missing with the initial attempt he bundled the rebound into the net to round off the scoring.

There were some talking points after the game with regards to the performance.

Christopher Jullien’s return to action was the major story of the day. It was great to see the big man back.

Hatate got his first full 90 minutes under his belt for the club.

Mikey Johnston limped off again, is his Celtic career over.
