Benjamin Siegrist played his second game for Celtic on Wednesday evening against Motherwell, keeping a clean sheet as the bhoys made it through to the semi-final of the League Cup.

Ange has handed the Swiss stopper the gloves for the League Cup ties this season so far. The former Dundee Utd goalkeeper acquitting himself well in both games.

After the game on Wednesday night, Benjamin took to social media to hail the teams performance and give a shout out to the support.

Joe Hart is Celtic’s number one and will continue in that capacity this season unless injury occurs.

The Celtic manager has clearly saw the opportunity to give Siegrist meaningful game time in the cup competition. However, the Australian will have a big decision to make come January. Will he continue with Benji in the semi-final and then potentially the final or will he hand the gloves back to Joe for the Hampden outing?

Benjamin will be desperate to play but Joe would also like to be given the opportunity to be part of the team who could win another trophy. It’s a difficult one.
