CELTIC are taking a breath during the international break before they head into a run of fixtures which in many ways will be season-defining.

The next run of five games sees three home ties, one away and one neutral over three separate competitions.

In those games, Celtic could maintain their lead at the top of the SPFL, secure top spot in their Europa League group and win the first trophy of the season.

Here’s how it’s shaping up.

  • Livingston (H)
  • Rennes (H)
  • Ross County (A)
  • Hamilton (H)
  • The Rangers (N)

You look at all those games and all of them are important in the context of the season.

Any points dropped in the SPFL could hand the impetus to our rivals, so we must continue our relentless pursuit of points.

A win against Rennes could all but seal Celtic’s top spot in the group and make sure Celtic get an extra cash windfall as well as avoiding some big hitters in the next round of the competition.

The Cup final speaks for itself; a chance to win our tenth domestic trophy on the bounce against our local rivals who are yet to win a major trophy.

That only takes us to December 8th!
