The needless postponement of the football card this weekend while most other events went ahead is hardly ideal.
The bhoys were given the weekend off and as a result will play back to back Champions League games for the first time that I can remember.
Supporters who plan their days and even lives around Celtic and football missed the opportunity to see their team potentially take a bigger lead in the title race.
As we approach mid September, we’re about to head into an international break that will have us twiddling our thumbs just a little bit more.
So what are Celtic’s next five fixtures?
Shakhtar [A] CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
St Mirren [A] SPFL
Motherwell [H] SPFL
Leipzig [A] CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
St Johnstone [A] SPFL
There are 13 days between the St Mirren and Motherwell ties due to the aforementioned international break. One home tie in the next five will present a challenge for Ange Postecoglou’s men as they look to keep up their 100% record in the SPFL and get points in the board in Europe.
The good news is, the games come thick and fast in October.
