Celtic are all gearing up for the club’s defence of the Cup title under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers, who is back for a second spell as manager of the Hoops.

Celtic, the reigning Viaplay Cup holders, are travelling to Kilmarnock’s Rugby Park in what promises to be a thrilling encounter. This clash will mark Rodgers’ first chance to grab a cup victory in his second stint as the Bhoys’ manager.

Rodgers will be looking to use this competition to set a positive tone for his second tenure. During his first stint at Celtic between 2016 and 2019, the Northern Irishman was instrumental in the club’s treble treble success, winning every domestic trophy available in his time there. So he knows a thing or two about winning cup matches.

Now, back at the helm, Rodgers will hope to recreate that level of domestic success. He has a chance to cement his legacy and remind the Celtic faithful of his capabilities as a leader on the touchline, starting with a victory in the Viaplay Cup.
