Celtic played out an enthralling three-all draw with Rangers at Ibrox this afternoon which leaves things as they were beforehand in the title race.

The Hoops were two goals ahead at the break thanks to Daizen Maeda and Matt O’Riley but the hosts soon hit back to bring it level.

Adam Idah thought he won it late on for Celtic but Rabbi Matondo then made it 3-3. The game finished in said scoreline.

Post-match, the reaction started promptly. Indeed, when John Beaton blew his full-time whistle, Todd Cantwell appeared to push Callum McGregor.

Former Celt Chris Sutton – who was on co-commentary duty alongside Kenny Miller – reacted swiftly.

He instructed Cantwell to calm down and show what he could do in the game rather than mouthing off to McGregor. He said: [live on air on Sky Sports] “Do your talking on the pitch TikTok.”

Although today’s result will dampen the moods of some Celtic fans given the position the Hoops were in, the title is not out of their hands yet.

How proceedings unfolded will understandably leave some with a sour taste in their mouths, but they just make the next league derby all the more crucial.
