Romanian club Poli trolled their rivals Cluj on Monday night in rather bizarre fashion.
The club let some of their ball boys wear Hoops on the night to wind up their opponents and remind them of their Europa League defeat.
It might have worked because Poli came from a goal down to win the game 2-1 on the night against Cluj. It has cut Celtic’s rivals lead at the top to just two points.
They are playing well in Europe and got a big result against Rennes last Thursday but even though their game was pushed back to Monday they did benefit from the extra time to prepare.
Celtic had less than 72 hours to prepare for their game against Aberdeen but blew away the home side after their Thursday exploits – maybe they wouldn’t have done so well if Aberdeen ball boys wore Cluj shirts.
Celtic and Cluj meet for the fourth time this season in December, for the final game of Group E.
