KENNY MILLER has played for Celtic, both Ibrox clubs and Partick Thistle so he certainly has insight on football in Glasgow.

Currently playing for the jags in the championship, the veteran striker splits his time between playing football and punditry.

This week he was asked who’s favourites for the SPFL title and although we know what club he would’ve loved to say – he chose instead to let his head rule his heart and through gritted teeth concede Celtic are still the team to beat.

This is a departure for many who believe that even though Celtic have been so dominant they expect the Ibrox club to come from nowhere and grab the title this term. It’s down to goal difference at the moment since Celtic’s two game blip in the league but since that game Celtic have scored ten goals in two games – while the Ibrox club faltered at Tynecastle.

Speaking to RecordSport – Miller admitted Celtic can click into gear and when they do they can smash some pretty heavy hitters – never mind SPFL sides.

“I would say they are favourites. I would definitely say they are favourites and rightly so.

“When Celtic click into gear they can do that (their thrashing of Aberdeen) to anybody.

“We have seen it domestically for a number of years now and even in European games – they can hurt very very good European teams when they click into gear.”

  1. I think you are making big assumptions here.
I am not surprised Kenny said this as he is a decent guy and not at all one of the archetypes.
Kenny has got much more about him than you give him credit for.
Why do you feel it necessary to make such comments and assumption when you do not know him?
To me, from his statements above, he has given due praise to Celtic and you have no right to suggest otherwise.
