CHAMPIONS Celtic have a chance today to create the first gap in the league of the new season. It might be early days but Celtic will be looking to draw first blood on last seasons runner-up outfit.

After an impressive display in Stockholm on Thursday night, Neil Lennon did have a few downsides to his team’s qualification to the Europa League. The biggest negative was when big Kris Ajer left the field in the first half injured. The big Norwegian has been a standout performer for the Hoops so far this season. If fans were hopeful that Ajer would make the team today they will be disappointed.

Celtic will play with a patched-up back four today that might cause some nerves amongst the support, Lennon’s hand clearly been forced when he has no central defender on the bench.

The other big call the manager was faced with today was who his number one was going to be. With very little football under his belt, big Fraser Forster gets the nod of ahead of Craig Gordon.

Attacking wise the team picks itself. If Celtic’s back four can put in a solid performance today then Celtic win the day.
