Brendan Rodgers has confirmed his Celtic team to take on St. Johnstone this afternoon, and it is one of few surprises. From Tuesday night’s trip to Lazio, there are two changes.

In goal, Joe Hart continues as does Greg Taylor at left-back. Alistair Johnston plays opposite the Scotland internationalist as Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales partner up once more at the heart of the defence.

In midfield, a trio of Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley, and David Turnbull begins, and up top, Kyogo plays through the middle. Out wide, Yang continues after he missed a huge chance in Rome whilst Luis Palma comes back into the side following his European suspension.

There are places for the likes of Oh, Mikey Johnston, James Forrest, Scott Bain, Iwata, Paulo Bernardo, Anthony Ralston, and Nat Phillips. Notably, Marco Tilio isn’t among the subs despite making his debut against Motherwell last week.

Kick-off is not long away, with the action starting at midday. The game is live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.

Confirmed Celtic team to play St. Johnstone: Hart, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, Turnbull, O’Riley, Yang, Palma, Kyogo.
