Celtic will be looking to kick off the season with early success in the Glasgow Derby, as the official date for the game was announced.

New boss, Ange Postecoglou, will be in for a quick start with crucial games straight away in both Europe and the league, as the SPFL announced yesterday the official details for the fixture.

As expected, the game was moved to Sunday the 29th of August – kicking off at 12 noon, live on Sky Sports.

Last season, Celtic struggled to really lay a glove on our Glasgow rivals, winning none of the derby fixtures between the two, picking up just one solitary point in a draw towards the end of the season.

Postecoglou has a huge job on his hands as he prepares for next season. However, several fans were left a little more assured after the 55-year old’s performance in his first press conference as manager of the club.

  1. I wouldn’t agree with the not laying a glove comment.Over the games,we were definitely the better team. They also got away with very defensive tactics, especially at Liebrox which they wouldn’t have got away with had their awful support been present….
