LEE CONGERTON’S Celtic career looks over after reports this week he’s ‘considering his options’ and we have to compliment his agent or even the man himself for the current situation.

Lee is not held in the highest of regards among the Celtic fans for his spell at the club under former manager Brendan Rodgers. The head of recruitment has come under heavy scrutiny for the clubs shortfalls in the transfer market. His name attached to players like Kundai Benyu and Marvin Commper, the latter being an absolute financial balls-up on the part of Lee and Brendan.

However, like when he left Sunderland, seemingly with the fans down on what he did there it appears Lee has the ability to find a salmon in the Clyde.

On Monday, TalkSport ‘Broke’ a story about Lee Congerton weighing up his options and turning down a chance to become Celtic’s director of football – impressive eh! Only thing is before Rodgers left it was John Kennedy who was being groomed for that position.

Now today, Sky Sports are reporting the Celtic staff member is a target for a ‘number of clubs’ including Belgian side Anderlecht. We have never seen so much interest in a man who has been heckled so heavily in his last two jobs. His agent or Lee himself must have some mates in the media.
