Odsonne Edouard continues to play in the team despite the open secret he would like to make the next move in his career.

Many Celtic fans attributed Eddy’s below-par form last season to wanting away and not giving it his all – I think that’s unfair.

The striker had so much confidence before last season and seemed to suffer from being in a Neil Lennon team which was bereft of any tangible plan while playing in empty arenas.

Eddy has always had a lazy tag put on his head when he’s not been scoring – and surprisingly the cross over between people who believe the Frenchman is not doing enough and the same people wanting Leigh Griffiths back in the side is huge.

The striker was still our top scorer last season even though he was off form.

As crowds come back and the team is playing with purpose Eddy is beginning to shake off his poor form.

The myth he isn’t trying or doesn’t care is dispelled in one clip from Sunday’s Hearts game where he and Kyogo help start a move at the half way line before ten seconds later Eddie has it in the back of the net.

Eddy really enjoyed that one and you can see it on his face.

If there are no decent bids for his services before the window. Celtic and Ange Postecoglou should have no qualms about using the treble winning player throughout the season.
