Over the past few transfer Celtic have been linked with talents in the SPFL. 

Last window, The Hoops had constant links to Tawanda Maswanhise of Motherwell and Hibs star Josh Mulligan.

Of course, neither of them came to fruition, but Celtic are still keeping an eye on talent in the league.

Links to Motherwell’s Elijah Just have picked up over the last week or two and he made sure to announce his arrival at Celtic Park on Saturday.

The New Zealander opened the scoring on Saturday when Motherwell made the trip to Glasgow’s east end. Playing off the left, he slotted it past Vini Sinisalo after Eilliot Watt capitalised on a poor pass out to Reo Hatate.

Celtic are not alone in their interest in the 25-year-old, who has seven goals and six assists this season.

RecordSport reports that Rangers are prepared to battle it out for the star, who will be 26 when the summer transfer window opens.

They’ve been impressed with his season and are monitoring the situation with the player.

He can play on both wings as well as in the 10, offering some flexibility to Celtic and whoever the next manager may be.

It’s three goals in the last six for the star who has been a revelation in Lanarkshire this season.
