THE RANGERS have been asked to take some lessons from Celtic and start on the front foot on Wednesday night as the club faces Ajax in the Champions League.

After Celtic went toe-to-toe with the European Champions on Tuesday night and started on the front foot, pressing Real Madrid high up the park, the rewards of doing so were close to surfacing.

Some great chances were created, but Celtic just could get the ball into the back of the net.

“This is what I want to see from Rangers and Celtic in the Champions League,” Agbonlahor told TalkSport, quoted by the Daily Record.

“The fans don’t want to see you park the bus against Real Madrid, sit in and try and nick a 1-1 or a 0-0. Have a go.

“Celtic did well. The money difference between Celtic and Rangers and the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona means they shouldn’t be getting a result against them. Celtic fans will be proud of their team and I’m sure tonight, Rangers will have a good go against Ajax.”

The Rangers are looking to bounce back from a humiliating derby loss on Saturday. They’re in a mini-crisis and are desperate for a positive result to paper over the cracks.

After their match in Holland, they have an away day at Pittodrie this weekend, facing and on form Aberdeen side.

The Dons are set to put up a good fight and always turn out well when the Glasgow teams come to visit, there’s a potential for some more points to be dropped and the gap to be widened if Celtic can overcome Livingston at Parkhead on Saturday.

  1. Poorly written. There is nothing at the start of this article to say who the English pundit is . Yet you roll into his summary of the game without us knowing who he is ?

  2. Who cares what Agbawbag has to say.
He never played in Scotland. He knows nothing about Scottish football, and rarely has a good word to say.
