MARCO SILVA has been forced to deny rumours he’s ready to let reported Celtic target Tom Davies out on-loan.

The Everton Boss has totally shot down any suggestion he will even entertain the idea of the midfielder heading out in January, insisting anyone looking to pinch the player in January should look elsewhere.

Celtic were linked with Davies in the summer, but will certainly know to look elsewhere after the Everton’s boss impassioned rant.

Silva has booted out those claims, saying: “No way. Impossible. No way. Tom is part of our squad.” Told SunSport.

“He is an important player for me and an important player for us as a club. He is the present and the future of our club.

“I know Tom is not playing the last few games but that is not his fault. It is because the players in that position are playing very well.

“When I changed to start with Andre (Gomes) for the first time against Crystal Palace, Tom’s performances were improving.

Davies has played 9 times for Everton this season; 7 Premier League starts and Two League Cup appearances.

The player is currently valued around £15million and would be out of Celtic’s reach on a permanent basis anyway.
