FILIP BENKOVIC looks likely to move out on loan this month it has emerged after the player got a rare outing for Leicester in the FA Cup game.

Sunsport have revealed the English side are open to Filip going back out on loan in January to get some more game time before Brendan Rodgers takes a look at his options in the summer.

Benkovic suffered an injury during Leicester’s 2-0 win over Wigan at the weekend but it only stopped him training for a few days.

During his loan spell at Celtic last season, Filip played 26 times and even managed to get on the scoresheet on two occasions.

There was no doubt he was a valuable asset when he was fit but injury problems stopped the Croatian from being a runaway success. If Celtic wanted a centre-back for six months then he could be ideal if he can stay fit enough.

SunSport credit Championship side Derby with an interest in taking the player on loan.
