FORMER Celtic target Steven Caulker was reportedly sent home from Dundee’s training camp in the Algarve after a ‘disciplinary breach’.

The player who was famously offered a Celtic contract by Brendan Rodgers after the Irishman called him an ‘outstanding talent’ looks like he may have to fight for his Dundee future.

Caulker has had his struggles with depression, which he has been open and honest about and spoke about not being in the right frame of mind to join Celtic when Rodgers came calling 18-months ago.

The defender has been quietly going about his business in the SPFL with Dundee, helping them survive the drop.

If reports are accurate then Caulker and Dundee boss Neil McCann are heading for a face to face meeting to determine the player’s future in the coming days.
