The coverage of the Celtic women’s team is ramping up and the Hoops multimedia team have been shining a light on the great work being done.

The club has invested heavily in the women’s team over the past 18 months as they turned professional and recruited some heavy hitters.

Glasgow City have been the team to beat for over a decade, winning thirteen league titles on the bounce. The challenge for the Celtic women now is to break that stranglehold.

On Sunday, Celtic and Glasgow City will go head to head in the league with a win on the day would take the Hoops above City.

Rangers Women are currently at the top of the table.

You will be able to watch Celtic take on Glasgow City this Easter Sunday on BBC Alba, kick-off time 16:10.

It promises to be an exciting encounter and while we can’t go along and watch the Hoops women in action, we can support from our living rooms.

You can also keep up to date with the latest news with Fran Alonso and his team on the dedicated women’s team section of the Celtic Website – Here.

Newer Celtic signing Jodie Bartle spoke with fan media today at a CelticTV and knows it’s a tough road ahead if they want to be contenders

“Every single game is going to be a difficult one. I don’t think anyone is above anyone. We’ve just got to go into a game, not worry about the next game, not worry about the previous game. Just do our job on the day.

“Hibs have always been up there, Spartans was a 1-0, a very, very close game. Forfar was another game where we [dropped] points. Every single game’s a cup final at the end of the day, isn’t it?”

We have urging the club to bring the games live on Celtic TV, the official Youtube channel or the Celtic Pass. There’s a big appetite to watch the full time women’s team but it has to be made accessible as much as possible.
