Speaking about the team’s attacking prowess, Alonso told CeltsAreHere at the pre-match press conference,“Obviously we want to score as many goals as possible every single game. As soon as we score a goal, regardless of the opponent, our aim is to score the next one.

“Sometimes it’s possible, sometimes it’s not. We are a very ambitious team and we are also a team that likes to take risks to achieve that.”

The team’s aggressive pressing and willingness to take risks at the back have been key components of their success. Alonso believes that this approach aligns perfectly with the team’s philosophy and ethos.“So we are very aggressive in our pressing, and we take risks at the back, mainly because we have to be attacking. It’s within our ethos and philosophy.

While the sheer number of goals is impressive, Alonso emphasized the quality of the chances created as the most significant aspect.

The manager’s satisfaction is evident, especially given the variety of goal scorers, showcasing the team’s depth and versatility in attack.

Alonso concluded, “For me, to score so many goals so far is brilliant but the most important thing is the quality of the chances created.

“Looking at the goals we have scored, it’s been fantastic because we are creating so many clear-cut chances, even against teams that try to sit deep.

“So that is very pleasing to see the work that we do in terms of analysis has come out in game. So far, it’s been a perfect start to the season and hopefully that continues.”

Celtic are playing Dundee United this weekend and will be hoping their terrific form in front of goal continues.
