Ange Postecoglou confirmed that the Celtic left-back had a scan and it revealed the injury wasn’t too serious, but he confirmed he’ll miss a couple of weeks.

Speaking ahead of the match at the weekend against Kilmarnock, the manager provided an update on Greg Tayor. He said: [STV]

“Greg has got a slight hamstring (injury) so we got a scan. It’s not too serious but he will definitely miss a couple of weeks.”

Taylor joins Haksabanovic, Welsh and McCarthy on the injury list, who are all edging closer to a return but won’t be available for the weekend.

The benefit of Celtic’s large squad shines through in times like this when players are injured. Greg Taylor is a star player, but two, potentially three, great talents are capable of stepping into the role. Bernabei is the natural replacement, a player Celtic fans are excited to see. Juranovic can play on the left but didn’t impress in his most recent run-out on the side. Hatate has also played left-back in his career and has played at right-back, for Celtic recently. There are certainly options for the Celtic manager.
