The coverage highlights their persistent demonstrations of solidarity with Palestine, particularly during domestic games and UEFA Champions League matches.

The group was shown holding up Palestine flags during the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid, an image that was prominently featured on the Iranian channel, Press TV.

The channel, which is the only entity legally permitted to broadcast radio and TV in Iran, dedicated a segment on its programme ‘Palestine Declassified’ to the Green Brigade’s activities.

Parkhead officials, after initially banning the Green Brigade for part of the season, have since welcomed them back. Their return to Celtic Park was described by Press TV as “triumphant”, particularly during a match against Livingston. [RecordSport]

The group’s actions come amid the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza region, a situation that has drawn widespread international attention.
