Greg Taylor has excelled at Celtic under Ange Postecoglou.

The Scot has underwent a career rejuvenation since the Australian came to Glasgow and never fails to impress for his side week in, week out.

Last season, Taylor had the left back spot pretty much to himself although the arrival of Alexandro Bernabei in the summer sparked some competition.

Although the Argentinian hasn’t completely replaced the 25 year old, he has put in some noticeably fiery displays that have caught the eye.

Nevertheless, he has played second fiddle to Taylor for the majority of the campaign but the Scotland international has denied any sense of a competition between the two (Glasgow Times):

“I would say me and Bern have contributed throughout the season.

“There’s been different times when either of us have played. But it’s a squad game, especially now when you play in the Champions League and you play 38 league games and cup games.

“You need everyone and I think that’s been shown this year.”

Taylor is accurate in saying that it is a team effort and not about individual players taking the limelight and competing for a certain position.

The whole ethos of Ange Postecoglou’s model is that you have options available in every single position who are able to seamlessly come in and contribute and this is exactly what happens at Celtic.
