CELTIC could be set to walk away from any deal they were hoping to get done for David Turnbull because their interest has been so publicly flouted and addressed on social media by a staff member at Fir Park.
Reports on Friday suggested Celtic had a bid rejected for the midfielder, the same day former STV man and current Motherwell communications officer Grant Russell decided to come out and comment on speculation surrounding the player. This seems to have irked the Celtic bosses who are not interested in a repeat of the John McGinn saga.
The bhoys have other transfer targets and according to the report below, they will consider their options with regards to Turnbull.
“SunSport understands Hoops chiefs are disappointed details of their verbal offer for the Fir Park teenager went public.
“Lennon is an admirer of Turnbull but Celtic are now considering their options.”
There is a certain amount of irony involved here if someone at Celtic has spoken to a journalist about the ongoing situation.
Turnbull had a terrific season but the club should not get mixed up in the mire of protracted negotiations which are going on in public.
If Celtic were sensible they would walk away from this deal.
Well then pay there price or up it and tell them that is the last bid if player wants move then he can let them know he wants to move …
What gets me if it was not Celtic winning every thing then it would be them and hand full of clubs who win a cup ever 10/20 years
Boards convenient excuse oh come on,as usual they wanna get someone on the cheap
Do as rangers do tell the player your interested ,not there club. Works every time,
