STEVE CLARKE was asked about Callum Mcgregor’s status after the Celtic captain was called up to the Scotland squad even though he’s been out injured.
The Celtic manager did say Callum could be back before the international break at a push but many thought the midfielder might sit out the International games because he’s coming back from injury.
Speaking today, Clarke has claimed he’s hoping to see Callum get minutes in the next two games that will stand the Scottish international in good stead for what’s to come over the next two weeks.

If Clarke is correct, he could have just delivered a major hint that Celtic are about to reintroduce their captain into the side as early as Thursday.
It would be a great boost to the bhoys if they got McGregor back in the heart of midfield for the visit of Leverkusen.
We have been lacking depth in the squad and have looked pedestrian in midfield at times without Callum’s influence.
