JEREMIE FRIMPONG didn’t endear himself to many Celtic fans after his latest interview where the losing of the ten was met with a shrug of the shoulders from the former Celt.

The almost nonchalant approach is something that has irked a lot of the same support who wished the player well only last month when he made the move away from Celtic Park.

Fans think it could be indicative of how many of the players felt when the fans have been up in arms this season. A distorted narrative of entitlement from the fans was allowed to be portrayed by the media.

Asked about the Celtic managerial vacancy, Jeremie was asked if his former captain has what it takes to become the main man.

He replied: “The way he speaks, the way he motivates the players.

“He knows a lot about the game and has been in the game a long time, so he’s experienced. I feel he’d be a great manager.

“When I first came and played my first match he would tell me what I should do, what’s best for me in this position.

“He’d say, ‘Use your ability when you go forward and attack them, you’re the fastest in the league, they won’t catch you’, things like that.

“Defensively he would tell me as well, about my positioning and that I can’t always rely on my speed. If you put yourself in a better position then you don’t even have to use it.

“He’s more experienced and would give me little things like this, and it really helped, because look at where I am today.

“I’ll always be grateful.”

There should be no clamour for anyone inside or outside of Celtic for Scott Brown to become the next Celtic manager but if he can perfect the craft over the next ten years, I wouldn’t bet against the Quadruple treble winning captain becoming manager one day.

Right now, Celtic fans want to know who the man is going to be for the first game of next season which should be a Champions League qualifier in mid-July.

There’s no sign of what the club is thinking at present and what kind of manager they are pursuing, which is frustrating but as long as they get the right man for the job.
