Celtic legend Henrik Larsson will receive a special award at the club’s Player of the Year night in a few weeks at the Hydro.

For his tremendous acts in a green and white jersey, the Swedish striker will be presented with an ‘Outstanding Contribution Award’ on the 12th of May.

In 315 Celtic appearances across eight years, Larsson scored a colossal 242 goals. He was instrumental in the Bhoys’ UEFA Cup run in 2002/03 and is a true club legend.

He, along with other notable names such as Martin O’Neill, Chris Sutton, and John Hartson will be in attendance at the Hydro in what has the potential to be an incredible night.

Indeed, the Hoops play Rangers the day before in a pivotal game in the title race. Taste victory and the following evening could be bittersweet but nothing is said and done.

The next six matches are as key as can be for the Celts, but the criteria for the team to end the season successfully is clear. Their destiny is in their own hands and they know what they have to do to secure a sought-after double.
