Despite a difficult start to life in Glasgow, Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn has come into his own over the past few weeks, finally gaining some consistency in green and white.

When he initially came to the club, the German struggled with teeth issues that resultantly made him lose a power of weight but he has recently become more robust and got a deserved run in the team.

The right-wing spot feels like it is his to give up at the moment, particularly after he drew his side level at Hampden last weekend by being in the right place at the right time to tap home a rebounded Kyogo shot.

Especially given who the other wingers at Brendan Rodgers’ disposal are, one cannot see the 24-year-old getting dropped any time soon.

He will start away to Dundee this weekend and pre-match, he appeared in front of the media at Lennoxtown.

In the Friday conference, Kuhn was asked an intriguing question about Rangers and whether the Celtic players keep an eye on the games and results of their rivals, particularly their recent visit to Dens Park.

He said: [Celtic FC on YouTube] “Of course, I think everyone saw it (Dundee’s 0-0 draw with Rangers).

“As I said before, we really try to focus on ourselves now that it’s all in our hands.”

To win the title, Celtic know what they need to do. Fans cannot escape the bigger picture but the players simply take things game by game.

Kuhn has been around the block at several big clubs before and is aware of the standard, and countless players in the Parkhead dressing room have won titles in the past.

Such experiences need to be harnessed going into a critical, season-defining last six games.
