CELTIC were defeated mid-week in the Conference League, meaning their return tie is a must-win. Despite this, the squad are still focussing on the SPFL on Sunday – rightly so.

Celtic want to regain their crown, which will almost definitely see them play Champions League Group Stage football next season. The incentive to go all-in is there; the players must perform.

Matt O’Riley has said that the team is focussing on Dundee before their attention changes to mid-week and believes the players have the backing of the fans. [Daily Record]

“We said in the changing room afterwards [Defeat to Bodo/Glimt], we’re going to come back out and give it all we’ve got.

“We’ve got a game against Dundee on Sunday to look forward to. We need to win and I’m sure we’ll do that.

“Because there’s real belief in this team and I think the fans believe in us too.”

This comes as no surprise. Postecoglou always gives his opposition respect and takes it one game at a time.

With only 12 games left of the season, Celtic can not afford any slip-ups that give their rivals an advantage.

The Ibrox club plays the early kick-off today, meaning that if they drop points, Celtic have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table. In case you need reminding, the last time the side travelled to Tannadice, albeit with Steven Gerrard as manager, they lost 1-0.
