Matt O’Riley scored his first goal of the campaign against St Mirren on Saturday evening in a 5-1 rout at Celtic Park.

O’Riley came on as a second half substitute during the Scottish Cup tie and took his goal very well.

It will be a weight off the Danish under 21s mind after failing to find the net before Saturday.

After the game, Matt took to social media, posting his goal celebration. The post has nearly 13k likes but it’s the comment underneath that caught our eye.

Former Celtic defender Josip Juranovic wrote ‘I was waiting for this post’ with a green love heart emoji attached. The Croatian clearly delighted for his former teammate.

Juranovic left the club in January to join Bundesliga side Union Berlin. The bhoys who won the league last season have a real bond and while JJ isn’t a Celtic player any more, he clearly likes to see his mates doing well and Celtic winning.
