Celtic are a club renowned for their amazing fanbase.

Year after year, the supporter continues to grow as those who regularly attend matches outdo themselves every season.

The Green Brigade are a group that particularly do so with their tifos and displays, never failing to capture the imagination.

Today, we will be ranking the top five displays manufactured by the Ultras group, starting from the fifth best.

5. ‘Send Them Back To Hell Bhoys’ – Rangers (H) – 3-0 Win – 2022

What can be seen as a turning point victory for Celtic back in 2022 played host to a terrific pre match display in the North Curve.

The banner read ‘Send Them Back To Hell Bhoys’, aiming a dig at Rangers’ liquidation and how they returned, claiming to be the same club.

The display was complete with red pyro prior to kick off and it certainly set a hostile tone which was central throughout the evening and struck fear into the hearts of the visiting opposition.

Celtic went on to win 3-0 in this match in a famous triumph which turned the tide in Glasgow.

4. ‘Back With A Bang’ – Real Madrid (H) – 0-3 Loss – 2022

Celtic returned to the Champions League in September 2022, their first match in the competition for four years coming against holders Real Madrid.

The blockbuster tie at Paradise was met with an equally impressive display.

Spanning across both tiers, supporters held up banners which showed a silver star upon a green base.

What looked like a fox with a green top hat on could be seen holding a Champions League draw ball with a banner reading ‘Back With A Bang’.

The skill required in making this display would’ve been high.

It was a work of art and one that will live long in the memory even if the result won’t.

3. ‘Lisbon Lions’ – Hearts (H) – 2-0 Win – 2017

Celtic looked to secure Invincible status in the league at the end of the 2016/17 season and they did so against Hearts in a 2-0 win.

Before the game, though, there was what was only the second full stadium display in the club’s history.

For the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions, every supporter held up a sheet.

Around the ground, there was a green base.

The North Stand read ‘Lisbon Lions’ in silver, the Main Stand ‘1967’ meanwhile the Jock Stein and Lisbon Lions stands showed a European Cup and the number 50 surrounded by a golden star respectively.

‘In The Heat Of Lisbon’ was sung the loudest it ever had been when this display came to fruition in what was an immense tribute to the greatest side in Celtic history on the 50th anniversary of their European Cup triumph.

2. ’21/22′ – Aberdeen (H) – 2-0 Win – 2022

2022 Flag Day was celebrated in style at Celtic as the Green Brigade manufactured a full stadium display.

Fans predominantly held up green banners apart from in the Jock Stein stand, where a white base played host to a green ‘X’ and green ’21/22′ writing.

The North Stand was half green and half white with a four leaf clover in the middle meanwhile the Lisbon Lions stand was green with the title in the middle.

The Main Stand was plain – half green and half white.

On this day, Celtic won 2-0 following what was the best display in Ange Postecoglou’s tenure as manager thus far.

1. ‘125 Celtic’ – Barcelona (H) – 2-1 Win – 2012

Arguably the greatest win in Celtic’s modern day history was marked with the best ever pre match display from the club’s supporters.

To mark the 125th anniversary of Celtic’s existence, a full stadium tifo was organised in the Champions League against Barcelona.

Green and white throughout, the North Stand read ‘125 Celtic’ whilst the Jock Stein stand showed a Celtic cross with a red oval around it.

Opposite this in the Lisbon Lions stand, another Celtic cross could be seen – this one being green and white.

Finally, the Main Stand was simple with green and white hoops.

To date, this is the best display in Celtic history and the players certainly lived up to the magnificence of the tifo with their performance, beating the best team in the world by two goals to one.

This weekend, the Green Brigade will be looking to replicate such success with their trophy day display against Aberdeen which will be the most ambitious in Scotland so far.
