CHRIS SUTTON has reminded The Rangers that they have finished yet another season in Celtic’s ‘shadow’ after they were taken to extra time by Hearts before lifting the Scottish Cup.

It was a must-win for the Ibrox side; if Hearts emerged victoriously, the Rangers would go trophyless.

Of course, Celtic won both the League Cup and the League, granting them the double. The team from the other side of the city finished the season with just the Scottish Cup.

It’s becoming a common occurrence, Celtic finishing the season with more trophies than their rivals. After last season’s blip, it’s nice to see natural order restored.

The season for Celtic is over, with just one fixture left that will affect them. St Johnstone is to host Inverness on Monday night to determine which of the sides will compete in Scotland’s top flight next season. The sides are currently tied 2-2.

As far as the trophies go, it’s over. Celtic, once again, will be satisfied with their successful season.
