JOSIP JURANOVIC has been linked to many clubs this summer, with Manchester United and Chelsea the latest to be credited with an interest in the defender.

The Croatian is seemingly expected to leave Celtic this summer, as Fabrizio Romano reported, but there have been contradicting reports.

He’s started the season well, showing no signs of downing his tools. He’s got a big season ahead, playing with Celtic on Europe’s top stage before flying to Qatar to represent his country at the World Cup.

The Celtic boss has admitted he will be the subject of interest from many teams but reassured fans that Josip is still committed to the club and training well, saying; [The Herald]

“It shows he’s playing well and it also shows what can happen if you play well for this football club,” Postecoglou said.

“This is a fantastic platform for anyone. Josip had a strong year last season and he wants to get even better.

“He had a strong pre-season and he’s working hard. It’s a big year for him with the World Cup, so there’s a lot of him at club and international level. He wants to be at his best and my job is to keep pushing him to be the best he can.

“The talk doesn’t affect me, mate. Whether it affects the player then he’s the one you need to ask.

“I just look at how they play, train and behave and I’ve seen no change with anyone in the group. If I do, then I address it. Ultimately it’s not something I go around asking them on a daily basis.

“It’s about how they conduct themselves when they are with us representing this football club.

“Josip and all the other boys are working hard in training and performing at good levels.

Celtic’s Big Money Move

Signing a five-year deal last summer, Celtic will be looking to break the record set by Kieran Tierney if Josip is to move on this year. The play was phenomenal last year and proved to be a key player for Celtic.

Considering the amount of money these clubs are signing mediocre players for, you’d expect Celtic to have a firm stance and hole out for top dollar.
