NEIL LENNON has provided an update on long term injured Celtic star James Forrest. The winger has been out since the start of the season when he went off injured during a Euro qualifier.
The winger has gone through surgery and is now in recovery ahead of a return to the first team.
James was scheduled to be back by early February and Neil Lennon’s latest update confirms that will be the case.
? NL: "Jamesy will hopefully be back in training in a couple of weeks.
He’s been hugely missed. Not only his goals, but assists as well. He was coming into really good form. It’s been a very frustrating period for him but having him back will be like a new signing." #CELDUFC

Once he’s back in training, James will have to get back up to speed before getting into the first team. The midfielder will be desperate to get back in the starting XI, if he can get a bit ahead of schedule we might see him at the end of January.
Celtic have been desperately missing width at times and purposeful attacks from the right wing. Jeremie Frimpong has the pace but not the decision making skills James has. Ryan Christie playing out there sees him cut inside into traffic.
