CELTIC could have a fresh injury worry this Sunday evening after Neil Lennon revealed the club are now monitoring Jeremie Frimpong after the victory at Motherwell.

Jeremie was studded in the leg by Motherwell’s Devante Cole, a challenge which should have seen the player sent off; Andrew Dallas inexplicably only reached for a yellow.

The young right back had to come off in the end, replaced by Hatem Elhamed.

The Israeli defender came on and grabbed an assist to put the game beyond Motherwell.

Speaking after the game, Neil Lennon admitted they’re unsure about Jeremie’s injury but fear it could be ligament damage.

“It could be ligament damage, we don’t know yet. We will have to assess him over the next couple of days.” Neil Lennon told Herald Scotland.

Celtic bounced back after a horrible European defeat to Sparta Prague on Thursday.

A hat-trick from Elyounoussi and a star performance from Tom Rogic was two shining lights for the bhoys on Sunday. Neil Lennon will be hoping his team are intact come the end of the international break. Last month we had four people out due to the virus, something similar could derail our season beyond repair.
