JOHN KENNEDY has revealed he spoke with on-loan midfielder Olivier Ntcham last week with the Frenchman struggling for game time at Marseille.

Oli was loaned out to the French club in January and was hoping to win a permanent move to the club this summer.

It’s not gone well at all to date. The midfielder’s arrival prompted the manager to tender his resignation and the new man in charge has started him three times but subbed the player off at half time in all those games.

It’s inevitable Ntcham comes back to Glasgow this summer when a new man will be in charge of the club.

John revealed even though his game time has been sparse, Oli is still enjoying his time in France:

“Nothing’s closed off for any of these guys, I’ve worked with Olivier for a long time. The last little period he’s found it difficult to find his form.

“He’s a very good player, one that wanted to go and Have a new challenge

“I spoke to Olivier last week actually, he may not have played many games but he’s enjoying it, it’s a new experience for him.

“Again the door isn’t shut on any of these guys, there’s an opportunity for some of them to come back”

It’s hard to see a way back for Ntcham at Celtic. Many supporters believe that the midfielder downed tools and just couldn’t be bothered in the first half this season.

There are players who want a move away but can still give you their all and there are others who just go on strike.
