JOHN KENNEDY was asked about the current managerial situation at Celtic and the lack of announcement on a new man.

The interim Celtic boss knows he’s not in the running and will relinquish his position at the end of the season.

But speaking to Celtic TV, the interim manager explained the club can’t work to a season ticket deadline to name a new man just for the sake of it.

“Do you bring in a manager or name a manager right now that’s not quite right for the sake of a season book, or do they make sure they make the right decision long term.”

Celtic fans thought the club could be close to an appointment with the speculation surrounding Eddie Howe for almost a week.

It’s not materialised yet and if anything, it seems further away at the moment.

Hoops supporters are going to be asked to go into their pockets again very soon with no idea if they’ll get back into the stadium, after paying full price for this disaster of a season.

While the decision shouldn’t be rushed, some haste would be good considering the overhaul needed.
