Journalist Ewan Murray says he’s fed up of Ange’s trademark ‘mate’ at the end of some stinging sentences as well as the reaction to them by some.

Ange has become famous for batting off some pretty idiotic questions from the media by referring to them as mate as he tells them why their question was silly.

He does also use it in normal chat during pressers and as Ewan points out, it’s not always to emphasise a point but nevertheless it’s something the Celtic fans have come to enjoy.

Not Ewan. He’s so irritated by Celtic fans lapping Ange’s ‘quirk’ he felt compelled to talk about it on twitter.

Celtic fans have had a go at him for the silly tweet.

Ange is known for doing it, we and many other outlets print when he does say it, what’s the big deal?

Welcome to Scottish football, where even the most minuscule of details will upset someone down the line. A grown man though this time.

  1. The infamous call to arms in any social circumstance is the “you talkin’ tae me, pal?” but typically neither protagonist is pally with the other. Ange adopts it thusly, mate #integration
