KIERAN TIERNEY looked a dead cert to start away for Scotland against Kazakhstan after the news Andy Robertson had to undergo emergency dental surgery but according to reports today, the Celtic defender may have to sit out the tie.

News from Scotland’s training camp below.

Reports claim Scotland physios may rule him out of playing due to concerns over playing on the plastic pitch put up the hosts.

The Scots will train on the surface in Astana today and the medical side will then make a judgement whether Tierney can play.

Kieran is not long back from a hip injury which kept him out the Celtic side for three months and with the Scotland camp aware of the issues the player has been facing they might have to pull him.

Celtic have a massive run in if they want to try and deliver the triple treble and perhaps should look to intervene if there are any concerns over the player’s wellbeing if he takes part on the artificial surface.

Kieran will also have a say and it will be up to all three parties to do what’s best for the defender.
