CELTIC are set for a tour of Japan this summer.
Yokohama F. Marinos are the only team confirmed to play Celtic so far, but there are a few other sides rumoured to face the Hoops when they visit the country in late July.
The squad will then head to South Korea, as Oh Hyeongyu visits his homeland with Celtic, with a match against Wolves lined up.
Speaking on returning to Japan, Kyogo said that he was looking forward to it and is expecting a warm welcome, but he’s keen to put on a show for the fans.
Speaking to SunSport, Kyogo said:
“It I think it will be a warm welcome. I am looking forward to it. The gaffer used to manage there and we have five Japanese players so, obviously, we are looking forward to it. We will have to perform well against the teams we face and hopefully the supporters will enjoy.”
It’ll be great for the players to head back to their homeland with a team they’ve been successful this. The football comunity in Japan has been paying close attention to Celtic, eversince Postecoglou and Kyogo made the move to Celtic almost two years ago.
It wil also be beneficial for Celtic, who are bound to make massive commercial gains as a result of the trip.
