Under McGlynn’s guidance, Falkirk not only clinched the league title but also achieved promotion to the Championship without suffering a single defeat throughout the season—a remarkable accomplishment that accumulated an impressive 90 points.

Of course in Rodgers’ debut season, Celtic went unbeaten, picking up a treble while doing so.

On the last day of the season, they had to fight back from two goals down to secure a draw.

McGlynn, who has been at the helm of Falkirk since 2022, has a longstanding professional relationship with Rodgers. The Celtic manager previously hired McGlynn as a scout in 2015, a position he held for three years before taking the managerial role at Raith Rovers. This connection evidently remains strong, as evidenced by Rodgers’ recent congratulatory call to McGlynn upon Falkirk’s league win.

In an interview with the Falkirk Herald, McGlynn expressed his appreciation for Rodgers’ commendation. “He got in touch when we won the league a couple of weeks back and was very complimentary,” McGlynn said. “I’m led to believe there’s only three other managers, so it’s a nice club to be in.

“They can put me six feet under now! I’ve done what I was here to do!”
