Hibernian boss Lee Johnson has admitted that he is leaving no stone unturned before his side visit the east end of Glasgow this weekend.

It will be the first time that the Englishman takes his side to Celtic Park and knows how tough the challenge ahead is.

The Hoops currently sit top of the table with Saturday’s fixture being an opportunity for the Scottish champions to extend their lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership.

During Johnson’s pre-match press conference, the former Sunderland boss revealed that he is a huge admirer of the job Ange Postecoglou has done at Celtic since his arrival.

Although focus on Saturday afternoon will be mainly on the eleven players on the park, Johnson is also impressed by how well primed Celtic’s ball boys are who are rapid at giving the ball back to men in hooped jerseys to allow for quick play which has caught teams out at times.

“It’s a really big challenge. It’s not just the team you’re playing; it’s the stadium, it’s the ball boys – because they’re fantastic – and the tempo that Celtic create. We have to match the tempo, switch on to the opposition’s tempo, and then play our way,” said Lee Johnson as quoted by the Daily Record.

“I know Parkhead is a difficult place to go, but we’re really excited to go and test ourselves. Can we create the same metrics in possession and out of possession that we had in our recent sequence of wins? If we do, then we give ourselves every chance of winning the game.”

It’s always difficult coming off the back of a defeat in the Champions League but Postecoglou’s side will look to get some rhythm and consistency back into performances in the next batch of fixtures with trips to Fir Park and Tynecastle to follow.

Saturday’s fixture should be pretty open which may just suit Celtic.
