It’s being reported Celtic are trying to get a bounce game sorted this week over fears Albian Ajeti is set for a spell in the sidelines.

Neil Lennon stated the player would be out for at least two weeks which leaves a big opening in the squad.

According to RecordSport, the Scottish champions are now trying to arrange a bounce game to get minutes in Leigh’s legs ahead of the next four or five fixtures.

Albian pulled up with a hamstring injury against Hibernian just after scoring and was taken off straight away. The Celtic manager had Leigh on the bench on Sunday but chose not to bring the striker on at any point.

Leigh’s now in a race against time to get match fit and play his part in the coming weeks. It could shape how Celtic line up against their city rivals in October. This could be one of the last opportunities Leigh gets to prove himself.
