Liam Scales has had a slow start to life at Celtic. The defender has had his moments but they have been few and far between with Ange Postecoglou not quite trusting the Irishman to be a pivotal part of his new look squad.

As we’ve witnessed this week — Ange and Celtic are trimming the fat with this Celtic squad and many players with no real future at the club are being moved on.

Liam is not in that bracket…yet. However — it’s the opinion of Ange and the coaching staff Liam should go out and gain first team experience at an SPFL club. To that end — Aberdeen could be a destination for the defender this summer. [SunSport]

Jim Goodwin is said to be interested in the big defender as he heads up a revamp at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen wildly underperformed last season under Stephen Glass and now have to make sure they don’t have a repeat of last season.

Celtic had success with Ryan Christie going out on loan to the Dons back when Brendan Rodgers was the Celtic manager. Adam Montgomery was loaned to the club last season too but injury curtailed the Celtic youngster from making a proper impact.
