This match holds particular significance as Celtic aims to maintain their lead in the Premiership, facing a Livingston side that currently finds itself at the bottom of the league standings.

The presence of Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers on the sidelines remains uncertain due to a pending SFA hearing set for Thursday. Rodgers faces the possibility of a touchline ban following his critical remarks about officiating after Celtic’s match against Hearts.

Early Team News

Celtic could welcome the return of several key players from injury, with Callum McGregor, Liam Scales, Luis Palma, and Reo Hatate all potentially available for selection. Rodgers is expected to provide further updates on the squad’s status during the pre-match press conference on Friday, offering insights into team selection and readiness.

  1. Possibly looking at the hardest team selection for starting this weekend imo?
Still waiting on the injuries update and who might have recovered enough to be involved in this weekend match day squad?
Even if Hatate, calmac, scales, rocki and Palma are passed fit enough to be involved this weekend, would any of them start, and could include CCV into the equation also?
Certainly not the best surface for returning players from injuries to be playing upon?
Yet we would want all of them available for the trip to the shithole the following week?
We are in a position where the margins for error has been reduced to zero, and yet the risk factors could be massive?
Rodgers has hardly impressed so far this season upon his decision making imo?
Yet he’s facing huge decisions to be making this weekend?
Currently got bigger concerns about this weekend than the scum match, and be happy enough to get the 3 points in any manner and without incurring any further injury worries imo?
