Mikey Johnston will likely go out on loan within the next month. Ange Postecoglou told CeltsArehere that Celtic are now looking at a move away for the winger.

The thought is Mikey can go somewhere and rediscover his enjoyment of football, get vital first team game time and the bhoys will assess him when he returns at the end of the season.

The club has options on where to send Mikey and they’re carefully assessing all the teams who want to take the former academy player on-loan.

It’s not about going out on loan to any club, it has to be the right club who will help Mikey in his development.

Anthony Joseph has revealed there are clubs in England, Holland and Belgium who are all interested in taking the Johnston on loan.

Celtic have an array of top talent in attack. There’s no chance Mikey is going to get the minutes he so desperately needs sitting at Celtic. The best thing for him to do is show Ange Postecoglou what he’s capable of, not just over a stretch of a few games, but over an entire season.

It’ll be interesting to see where Mikey ends up.
