Celtic will begin their final preparations this week for their vital Champions League qualifier coming up on July 20.

The club will finish up their pre-season camp in Wales after they play Bristol City on Wednesday at Dragon Park. The Bhoys have made it two wins out of two in Wales and will enjoy a step up in opposition against Bristol City.

After that, it’s off to Celtic Park on Saturday for a friendly against Preston where 2000 fans will be permitted to enter Celtic Park. The club have balloted season ticket holders for the right to go into the test event. The allowance by the Scottish government a fraction of what was allowed at Murrayfield or Hampden in the past month.

Celtic will come up against Scott Sinclair in their home tie on Saturday, the Englishman returning nearly two years after leaving the club.

If there are no signings this week for the Hoops, we can look forward to a patched up side going into the SPFL season as well as Champions League qualifiers. There’s no time to waste but the club seem incapable of closing deals in a timely fashion.

Let’s see what the week brings.
