Celtic are set to lose another youngster because their path to the first team is non-existent. We’ve lost some of our best talent to Bayern and Manchester City in the last two years and it now appears as if Cameron Harper will be the next to go.

Chicago based football journalist Pail Tenorio believed the move is down to the fact Celtic are giving little time to their youngsters and the chances of making the breakthrough into the first team are slim.

Neil Lennon wouldn’t even play David Turnbull and Ismailia Soro in the team until we were playing a dead rubber against Lille.

Speaking about Harper, Tenario reveals the Celtic midfielder sees the writing on the wall and the path at New York Red Bulls much clearer.

Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) Tweeted: Worth pointing out re: Cameron Harper to #RBNY that a U.S. U-20 int’l probably sees his USYNT teammates getting regular first-team minutes and getting transfers to big clubs in Europe and likes his chances of that route more than limited mins at Celtic.

The Celtic youngster is on the last six months of his deal with the club and is free to talk to other parties.

Cameron made his full team debut on Monday and had an OK game but you could tell he was rusty given the near zero game time he’s had in a year.
